you misuse my words. I've said 1/3 of the county is inhabited by Ukrainians and other minorities and specified I meant the territory. Romanians have always inhabited the southern and eastern zones of Bucovina, which are much less forested and more populated. never claimed 1/3 of population, but 1/3 of the territory. then, at the time of the annexation of the region by Romania Ukrainians were anyway outnumbering Romanians. much of the difference to this day is the denationalization of the past century. the heavily forested northwest of the county was spared, due to isolation.

I am a cynical sarcastic person. I am not more anti-Romanian than I am anti-anything. but here on TA speaking domestic stuff, I speak about Romania since I live here and am one. it's no agenda. I was complaining even more when I was to London, Bruxelles or Milan. I've always said thank God we don't get illegal immigrants, feminism etc. Romania is a heaven from that point of view. but it sucks from others and I will speak about it. there's no way I praise something unworthy just for national brotherhood, I don't believe in that, not with Romanians nor with Ukrainians etc.

We all know Romania has some issues and I'm not looking for Chamber of Commerce BS but don't act like everything is horrible. I'm in America and you are 5 times more likely to die from gun violence than Romania. There is far more homelessness and people with drug problems here. Who is really backwards? Pick on some other countries, hell, pick on the US, I don't care. Btw, you do realize that most Romanian Americans are fairly successful in the US so these stereotypes of Romanians you present are totally inconsistent with want I've seen in my own life.
