this one could be a Goranac based on his surname.

Don't listen to Bosniensis. He speaks out of his ass. As far as I know we have no results of Gorani in our project, and certainly I have not seen any.
I doubt they would have a significant shift to Albanians. Gorani typically keep to themselves. They also typically dislike both Albanians and Serbs. I am sure some mixed, but this phenomenon is more typical of Torbesh/Pomak in Albania.

In actuallity many(or what's left) Pomak in Albania were absorbed into the Torbesh community. Pomak Muslims typically became a part of the Torbesh muslims. They mostly claim Albanian identity. Some times Turkish. The orthodox Christian Slavs of the region still refer to themselves as simply Bulgarian. Even though most are from Macedonia. Many left with the passport proposition from Bulgaria. However the Muslim ones stayed more often than not. They have similar customs with Gorani. Like the one with the geisha looking bride that's jeweled up lol.
I think we technically already do. Though like I mentioned it's complicated since most are counted as Torbesh and identify as Albanian. The ones from mixed bulgarian and albanian villages have typical ydna shared with other Bulgarians and Albanians. Of course no autosomal on them. Usually from Stebleva and Trebisht. They have become like Albanian montenegrins in a sense. Cross assimilation happened on the easternmost borders.
I can ask in the project if anyone has any results.
My family is in the westernmost region bordering the bilingual regions. Okshtun/Martanesh. Sadly some Albanians are even being assimilated due to the local schools being minority schools as Hoxha did little to build Albanian schools in the area. So they go to the minority slavic schools in the region and now some young gen Albanian kids speak Bulgarian. I would say from identity perspective ots very fluid like that of the Vlachs who usually identity and support the nation they are raised under.
