As Dušan posted Vukojevići Serbs in Dalmatia lived in Oćestovo (Knin), Gaćelezi (Vodice) and Benkovac. All celebrate St. George's day. There are many Vukojević Serbs from other regions, but he mention Dalmatian because he has match with one of them.
Oćestovo from where are my cousins Vukojevići was full Serbian village until 1995 (today is almost empty), and these Serbian families lived there:
- Bjedov
- Bucalo
- Vukojević
- Kasum
- Knežević
- Lošić
- Perić
- Rapo
- Tanjga
- Ćulum
- Šolaja
^^
All of them celebrate St. George's day.

So you see, one branch of Vukojevići are from western Herzegovina and Dalmatian hinterland (Croats), other branch is from eastern Herzegovina (Serbs).Vukojević families are often Croats and they are mostly from Herzegovina. According to some sources they are from Vrgorac, and are less frequently Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Herzegovina (Ljubuski area) and in East Herzegovina (Trebinje area). In Šipovača in Herzegovina every fifth inhabitant had the family name Vukojević.
I doubt they are related.

Old surname of Dalmatian Serbs Vukojevići was Vukobrat.
The oldest mention of Vukobrat/Vukobratović family in northern Dalmatia is from January 12, 1654, when in one document written in Zadar is mentioned Ivanko Vukobratović as alfier of Ilija Smiljanić (Ivanco Vucobratovich alfier del serdar Elia Smiglanovich). Ivanko Vukobratović in that time lived in Zadar area.
From Vukobratovići originated Serbian families from northern Dalmatia: Knežević, Vukojević, Ilić, Bucalo snd Markoš.

^^^^ Interesting, here is origin of Croats Vukojević from whom is derived my Bosniak side surname.
Surname Vukojević comes from Vukoje Vuko meaning wolf. We see from the beginning, Vukojević is a very old and mighty Croatian family name that is common in Klobuk. From Vukojević new last names were created: Antić, Brkić, Blaskić, Mandža, Madunić, Macan, Markezan, Međugorac, Pezić, Petrović and Simunović. From Klobuk, its hereditary centre, Vukojević the migrated until about 100 years, that is, until around 1900 lived in Klobuk, Tihaljine, Grude, Vasarevic, Šipovaca, Veljaci, Vitina, Medjugorje, Ograđeniku, Vrgorac, Kljenku, Imotski Podhumskim and villages near Konjić. In Klobuk number Vukojević decreased until they completely disappeared. The present family with the surname Vukojević comes from Šipovaca. The ancient family tree Vukojević in Klobuk became extinguished. In 1962 he came to Peter Vukojević from Klobuk and married Veronika Antunović. Peter was a postman. There they built a home.
