On page 55 still stay average for Dalmatian Serbs on 10 samples without Grulović, Aye's dad and Macura, change in new one on 13 samples.

the East Bosnians i have are "Slavic-Moldavian" shifted, that's why you get it. but on a larger sample i'm sure more southern ones will appear and the East Bosnian average will end up very similar to othes.

what do you think, would it be better to make averages by genetic groupings rather than geographic?

I am not sure, both ideas are good. I would keep geographic regions, but make regions larger.
Banija, Kordun, Lika, Dalmatia and Bosanska Krajina are one region by origin of their Serb population.

But on the other hand, there are lot of people whose origin are from different region - one grandpa from Lika, other from Šumadija, one grandma from Vojvodina, other grandma from east Bosnia etc.
How to place them?

How about this, a little bit experimental:

4 averages based on 4 corners of the Serbian cluster which all Serbs can be shown as a mixture of. each is based on only 2 samples.

i based this on this PCA:

i cut of some of the more Germanic samples, i don't have any info about them, i doubt they are full Serbs.


i think this way the entire Serbian range is captured.
averaging out Serbs by large geographic regions with a proper sample just results in a dozen identical averages.
