Sometimes I think Azerbaijani mixed with native caucasian shifted people of preturkic time, then with some persians. Or:Oghuz kizilbash came to anatolia, mixed there, fled to safevid state, and some day they mixed with persians. Maybe both theories could be right. Some kept the azerbaijani language, other stayed in their caucasian folks. That would explain why some caucasians have some eastasian, but other turkics/steppe people also have impact in their genetic.

You are correct. It's false to assume Azeris are just Iranian/Transcaucasian + some Turkmen. In addition already mixed Anatolian Turkmens came into the region during Safavid time.
So all in all Azeris are Iranian/Transcaucasian+Turkmen+Anatolian making Azeris an intermediate population between Iranians and Anatolian Turks.
