Agree. I think these are the purest and nearly non mixed caucasians. Even khazars didn’t conquer this area. Lazes are probably one of the purest people in neighborhood of westasians and europeans.

Yes, most likely. For example; Ekrem Imamoğlu(the mayor of Istanbul) is a Chepni Turk from Akçaabat, western Trabzon and is Alpine-Pontid + Turanid, his wife is from Sürmene or Arsın (central Trabzon districts) and she looks very assimilated Laz. I guess such examples are more common than we think.

Well their population is not high though. Most mixing happens in western Turkey, my hometown is full of eastern black sea Turks who came 50 years ago and many villages who were founded 130
in north western turkey come from that region.

Also here in Germany are living numerous people from that region and they intermarriage with Turks from other places.
