I remember that years ago when my English was a Broken English I'd often back myself into a corner, where no matter what I would do the sentence in a way which I started it would make no sense.

Also my rich Polish vocabulary / vast use of idioms would lead me astray, it would detract more than help whenever I would try to translate something from Polish to English in my head. Now my thoughts are usually in English already too when I use it and I think in those categories as well.

Nice accent, mine is trash because I learned it only in middle school (classes 5 to 9). However, because of that and the close lexical similarity between Romanian/English and French, I can understand written French easily. Songs and news are also easy, as long as the speech doesn't become too colloquial.Speaking and expressing myself is definitely harder and requires a lot of practice.
