My mother (also from region of Transylvania with one grandparent from Alba) got as well some very small percentages of: Mari, Selkup, Evenki, Dolgan, Ket etc. on her EuroK13. I wonder why is that

Thanks, that happens because the sum of your Siberian/East Asian/Amerindian components are slightly higher than that of the Romanian average from GEDmatch. That average is composed of only a couple of samples, so it's not that representative. With over 300 samples that I've looked at, it is clear that the average is higher, so you fall on the lower end actually.

Hungarian from southern Trasndanubia (SW Hungary), his mother being 1/4 Croat from Transdanubia as well.

Thanks for the explanation! Since I am quite new to it, I thought it meant actual admixture with some Siberian people ; but now I see is more about distances. From what I can recall, her Admix Results is not very different from mine. Probably similar amount of Siberian/East Asian/Amerindian components, yet on Mixed Mode Population Sharing we are different.

That's normal. It's indicative of dark ages to medieval migrations, that is Huns, Bulgars, Pechenegs, Cumans, Hungarian Conquerors, Tatars and Mongols. Loads of folk moved around.

Excuse my noob question, but I was under the impression that they were also mixed. Is it possible for their Asian DNA to survive for such a long time, that it can show in nowdays people?

Apart from the Mongols, who were mostly pure East Asians/Siberians, the rest were none to about 30% East Asian/Siberian. Because this heritage survived in all of us, less in Romas who are relatively recent arrivals, it must mean that they heavily mixed with the locals.

I understand. Talking to my mom, I've found out that one of her aunts (her father's sister) had slightly more "Asian" phenotype compared to the rest of the siblings. Now of course, phenotype and genotype are not the same. At this point I have too little knowledge to tell exactly where this heritage comes from; but it might as well be something older (from the invasions that you mentioned).
