No, it's purely based on our traditional homeland prior to the upheavals of WW1.


Assyrian_West= The Western Syriac dialects, the red area basically.
Assyrian_South= Nineveh plain dialects
Assyrian_North= The rest of the blue-purple area.
Most of the Assyrians in Armenia and Georgia fled there during WW1.
