Finally! A Syrian Turkmen, not fully part but its very cool to see that. There were a lot of Turkmens in Syria, my tribe was once deported to Rakka. I am still asking what happened to them. Do you know from where, it looks like the person is from southern Syria? I never heard of Turkmens who migrated from Central Asia to Syria in 18/19th century.

Half Turkmen and still ca. 5% EE, so the Turkmen side might be 10% or so. For Syria that's quite a bit.

Şam Türkmens were migrated to the Balkans in the 18th century thanks to the tribe wars between Turks and Arabs in the region. But their origin should be different than the Golan Turkmens. They were absorbed among Balkan Turks.
