Yes, Lurî and Feylî Kurds are both Shia but this conversion happened recently. Formerly, they were Yarsan. Yarsanism in itself shares many similarities with Shia Islam (although not in its pure, original form but rather in its modern, corrupted form), hence why it became more attractive to them.

Genetically speaking, Lurîs are interesting as they have high levels of E-M78. The highest in Iran, apparently. A significant portion of this E-M78 would be V13.

Lurs specifically Bakhtiyars especially those living in Fars and Isfahan have nothing to do with Kurds really, they are just Nomadic Persians. Lurs of Lorestan, Ahvaz, and the western parts changed from Kurdish identity as it became more affiliated with the Ottoman state.

Yeah, interestingly their Caucasus and SW Asian aren't low, maybe Gedrosia is on the lower end of the spectrum but overall they seem just naturally more "Steppic" for whatever reason.
