Ion, where do you find Ukrainian samples? On some forums?

One to many on GEDmatch, combined with some googling to find the person. I've only posted those that I could track down. If you want to go deeper to get both sides of the family tree, then you would need to email them. Some of them have GEDmatch trees, but that's a rarity.

start with one Ukrainian kit, check it's matches on gedmatch. then you can check those who have a gedcom (family tree), and those with Ukrainian names, and contact them via email.

than you can also check the matches of these new kits you found...

It's usually by chance, but if you are lucky then you will see strong matches at the top (70cm+) for someone. In cases like this they could descend from same or nearby localities. Another trick is to take two kits from a region/locality and use them for "People who match both, or 1 of 2 kits". It's a tedious process, there is no easy way for this, as GEDmatch doesn't have a proper global search function. You can only search for those surnames that have trees.
