Surprisingly I’m pretty far from the Baden_Württemberg sample. I’m much closer to the 2 Bavarian samples and upper_swabian.

Alsatian Germans are similar to Swiss Germans. Local French are already a bit different than that.

I don't think so, according to the last study on the French population: the Alsatians are ultimately only Germanized French, the "German" contribution is not enormous.

They are mainly descendants of the indigenous populations of France.
