Hey Sterling. Someone from Azerbaijani DNA Project told me that the Absheron average should be disregarded (at least if it's the one I made) as it consists of people living in Absheron but not native people from Absheron. So I suggest not using it anymore.

And do you know where his paternal ancestor is from? (Asking because of his YDNA)

You remember I told you the same about some of the results from Gabala and Derbent (in both regions NE=8). Knowing what I know about the mobility of Azerbaijanis, those results are definitely outlier, likely recent movers to the region. I think they should be removed or scrutinized more.
Absheron will be even more challenging due to the huge influx from all over the country.

They also explained why separated Qax-Zagatala from Dagestan because they thought it was distinct enough. I guess, also because it is useful to have North region for the republic also, as possessed to Derbent which is in another country )

His paternal ancestors are from Baku, Gazakh and Sarab.
