Not at all, he has a common result, and I've seen many northern italians that are more northern than that... In fact he's very typical for a venetian. Even for a piedmontese.

Regarding me, well I've haven't taken a test, so I can't say, 20% EM is a pretty huge amount even for an half-half, so.

And don't forget that the result over there has 13% West-Asian which is a lot. Not at all "Northern shifted"

With all respect let me have my doubts. Maybe that could be the average for some province but definitely not for the macroregion.

^ wow I have a large chunk of DNA painted only Yellow wich isEastern Europe (people like Ukrainians etc..) I very never imagined that

It maybe explains why on 23andme I get pure East Euro like Poles relatives

I've seen dozens of Veneto results probably, put him on the K13 calculator and you would find that he plot like someone from Veneto, nothing odd, really.



He's not particuliarly NW shifted, there are people in Italy that come out as nearly 50% Tuscan 50% scandinavian or N.European... And actually the contrary, he's rather balkan shifted...
