Having dark hair is not being "dark" imo. You can have dark hair and fair skin.

And you’ll be hard pressed to find people in the US that ONLY have English ancestors unless their parents were immigrants from England and have a long line of English ancestors.

The last person in my family tree that was fully English was my 2nd great-grandma, and that’s because her parents were from England...

Average English adults have regular Brown hair - nearly 50%. Fair hair (Blonde + Red) is about a quarter, and dark hair (dark brown & black) is also about a quarter.
