Ya, the 3 Thakuri kits are consistently 25-27 NE-Asian and 30-32 total East Asian. While 8 Chhetri kits are 18-20 NE-Asian and total 25 East Asian.
Below are Nepali Brahmins with approx. 15% and more NE-Euro. Is Pashtun average around 15?

Sudur Paschim lot look different. My relatives look less east Asian influenced than some of the Chettris. Have you any idea about the location of these kits.

Ya, there could be selection of traits/phenotypes among Sudurpashchim Thakuris and people can be half Mongoloid genetically and yet look South Asian. Phenotype doesn't ensure genotypes and it's a function of limited amount of genes. Becoz Thakuri was not created yesterday, it was there as a sepaarate caste for hundreds of years. So, endogamy averages out ancestry.
The Malla Thakuri posted previously said he's from Sudurpashchim and he's a straight 26 NE-Asian. So, I don't think Chands will score less East Asian than Chhetris except those marrying among Indian Rajputs. The previous Shahi Thakuri was from Jumla, Karnali Pradesh. The Thakuri Singh and Raya kit could be anywhere from Nepal.
This is the average of 6 Thakuri like kits from gedmatch to get a tentative idea. NE Asian seems consistent 25-26 in these kits while we all know that South Asian portion has always been diverse from high IranN to high Steppe like the Malla and Singh's differences, Adhikari and Khatiwada's differences.

I think on Harappa it's more like 12-13% but on Dodecad it should be a bit higher. The former gives a bit less North European to Central and South Asians than the latter.
I know the thread is about Nepalese DNA but do you happen to know if the Bihar Brahmins are the same as the Uttar Pradesh ones? Specifically Maithil Brahmins.
