Could be, Arapu surname in the village confirms that, in which case this dude managed to not come from a mixed lineage. But there also seem to be influences from Suceava-Botosani (Ababii/Ababei) and Russian-Ukrainian (Iacovlev, Zubenco, Lisnic) there. The other village in Calarasi district is recorded by Zamfir as Romanian, Ukrainian, Rusyn mix. But then again, his particular admixture doesn't reflect strongly on having any kind of recent foreign influences.

I didn't say what he have some foreign influence, because by results is not visible, I just pointed at the place of his origin from Drochia, since in this area live a visible Gypsy population like in neighboring Nicoreni, Gribova, Chetrosu, Sofia villages.

I didn't say what he have some foreign influence, because by results is not visible, I just pointed at the place of his origin from Drochia, since in this area live a visible Gypsy population like in neighboring Nicoreni, Gribova, Chetrosu, Sofia villages.

I know, and I didn't mean it like that. We have yDNA academic samples from Sofia btw and they didn't find anyone with haplogroup H, which is typical of Roma people.

To be Gypsy admixed is not necessary to have H haplo, only an autosomal genetic test will give the answer.
