I've read something in the older post,and now I can't find it. It was about Rheinland Westphalia and some genetic differences within the region.
You wrote something about tribal division of Franks and Saxons.
What is that difference between Germanic tribes? Were Franks more Celtic? I'm kind of new to genetics, so if it was already explained somewhere before, link would be great.

It is interesting how close this German is autosomally to English people. He's closer than to some direct neighbours of Germany. I guess that this Anglo-Saxon migration involved a lot of people who were a lot like this man.

And btw. I do definitely see a lot of overlap between people from West Germany and England as in often confusing them with each other.

From logics and if the British Isles were not empty land, the mixing result is similar to that guy, not the emigrating individuals.

And yes, there can well have emerged a resembling mixing result of Germanic and Celto-Romanic after 1,500 years in England and in Rhein Hesse, which is today a part of Rhineland-Palatinate.
