If they are really innocent and are being framed, it sucks. But let's not forget, that they looked for, and enjoyed the benefits of said corruption when they could. This is like a double edged sword. Sometimes it can make your life easy and sometimes a living hell, depending on the situation. Bear in mind, Romania was not a randomly picked place, he moved in. He knew what kind of country it is and chose to live in it, for some years, for some reasons.
He mentioned he enjoys living in Eastern Europe because corruption is accessible. That being said there is corruption in more "civilised" countries too. Just look at the contracts with Pfizer made by Ursula Von Der Leyen. But he needed a place, where he could make use of it, too.
This is a rather simplistic way to see things. The problem of NATO, Russia and Romania is a different topic and is much more complex ( could be a thread on its own). But you cannot wish a whole country to be "taken care of", because you are upset that your role model is being detained here. Let's wait and see if he and his brother are really guilty or not.
