No. West Germanic isn't a people, it's a linguistic grouping. The English language is Frenchified Anglo-Saxon. English genetics is essentially a three-way mixture of ancient Germanics, ancient Britons and ancient Gauls, in varying proportions.

I saw this OK related video recently that talked about the study (from 26:06). However he suggests that the French IA admixture in England came entirely or mostly with the Normans, which there's no proof of.

That is just one angle to look at my genetics with G25 genius as there are multiple views and angles available .
