I'm pondering if the Dutch have a pseudo and/or real Insular Celtic ancestry. I'm using Germans without Baltic admixture from extreme Northwest and Southwest.

In the case of the Flemish the Insular Celtic input (real or pseudo) is insignificant and can be discarded, but for the rest it is somewhat remarkable. It may fully or partially come from the Nordwestblock who were one more Indo-European ethnicity with a driftless genotype (alongside with Germanics, Celts and Indo-Iranians).

Insular Celtic is really just Bell Beaker and those populations haven't been isolated. There has always been some level of mixing. Even studies on Norwegians show this Insular Celtic component. Also Insular Celtic populations have input from some Germanic groups also. It's fairly obvious that there has been no isolation because even after 500 years groups with no contact will start showing drift. If anyone looks at a plot of Northwestern Europeans whether people are from the Insular Celtic fringe or the Germanic groups there is no isolated cluster; just a plot based on geographic location so neighbouring populations show obvious overlap with each other. What's the difference i.e. do Germanic groups show more HG input and less Steppe? I think it would make an interesting discussion and I don't know if anyone can pinpoint what the differences are? What different groups formed the ancestors of these populations? Are Insular Celts just a earlier wave of Steppe populations? Anyway there is overlap and close genetic distances between these populations.
