They work when applying them to weak countries like those you mention, but they don't apply to great powers. The US keep on breaking the international laws with no consequences. Russia, for being also a great power is no different from US on that respect, with the great difference that they "break the international laws" in response to the constant menaces from US/NATO against them, when using Russians' neighbors (Ukraine, Georgia, etc.,) as tools against them.
You pretend that US and its allies constantly break the international laws and nobody cares "because they are the good guys who are keeping the world order" but pretend that Russians (being another big power) cannot do the same, and more when they do it to defend their national security from US and NATO.
Your double standards are just amazing!
