I didn't like him because he wasn't patriotic, and didn't care about the fate of Russians, only his own popularity. All he did was trying to smear Putin all the time.

For instance, he wanted Russia to stop the war in Ukraine immediately, and leave the poor people of Donbas and Crimea to their own devices, under the mercy of murderous Kiev radicals. Of course that didn't bother him, as long as it would make him a darling of the West. And the fact that the West wants to break up Russia also didn't bother him in the slightest.

There is no evidence that he was "killed for political reasons", or killed at all. We don't know that, and for reasons already stated, is extremely unlikely. He wasn't a threat to Putin, who has 80% approval in Russia. Plus he was in jail for a long time already.

my point was not that they would not do it, but that it would be very counterintuitive to do it this year before elections, especially American elections, to stir all these reactions in the West, not to affect Trump's campaign. so if they did it, it was a very bad move. if they didn't do it, who benefits most from it is Biden/Killary's team. or, the third option, that he died naturally. no one can say which of these three situations was it.

In any case, this media event is not for the Russian audience. In Russia, no one cares about Navalny for a long time. It's just Dems turned on some media support, imho.

We need to see how the promotion of this story goes in the West now. And who will promote it.
