This is exactly what will happen if in school is spoken Irish only. When the children tell what was in school and do quote what someone said they will often go on talking Irish with each other while they talk English with their parents.

You ignore what I stated. I spoke of phasing out the English speakers and letting them be replaced by Irish speaking coming generations. I never said that any adult should be obligated to interact with authorities in Irish.

But younger people, that have been in Irish only speaking schools for abt. 10 years could be when there have emerged enough new Irish speaking officials in the authorities.

A more comparable but also less successful thing is the introduction of Nynorsk https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nynorsk in Norway. Just a minor proportion of the population was behind this idea. As long as you leave open the possibility to go on with the more easy thing (English in Ireland and Bokmål in Norway) such an undertaking will have no success. Hence English will have to be perspectively banned as an administrational language if there shall be a substantial result.

no need to take this personally, I actually have compassion for the irish. their destiny is similar to so many other peoples (indigenous, small nations) that got destroyed, some even wiped out by filthy anglos. and this case here with the dramatic ending shows exactly what happens when you occupy and alter a people's culture, they end up being just another uncivilized bunch that doesn't know how to behave towards guests or anyone really.

The Irish are a very civilised bunch and are known for being extremely hospitable. Greek football has a hooliganism problem so does that mean the Greeks are an uncivilised bunch? The Irish do not have any problems with their sporting fans in either football or rugby. In tournaments they are always voted best fans when Ireland is in those competitions.

This incident is terrible and a tragedy for the Croatian man who lost his live and his family as well as the other man attacked. It does not mean all Irish are uncivilised just like if a similar incident happened in Greece.
