It's happening in Eastern Europe, like in Romania too. For some years now they are bringing in South Asian and South East Asian immigrant workers. A lot of construction workers are now Pakis and Nepalese. The street sweepers that used to be Gypsies, are now Asian too. Even many delivery guys are. I don't even live in Bucharest and it is like this. And maybe you missed Feichy's thread months ago about her Croat town having lots of brown Asian immigrants now. It might take more, but it's probably gonna be all Europe replaced, because all Europe even Russia has low birth rate and taking in immigrants from outside Europe. Only Gypsies have still a high birth rate.

Oddly enough, construction even today in the UK is still overwhelmingly White - insofar as there are immigrants employed in it, they tend to be from Eastern Europe more than anywhere else. But food deliverers and to a lesser extent taxi drivers indeed come from all over the world, particularly South Asia.

LOL you probably would want some 'positive action' for them. These migrations have just begun and they are chiefly in construction, some factories, sanitation, servants, delivery guys, waiters,cooks etc. Not many, if any in the professions yet. Some in the service sector I suppose. Then again I did see on some reality tv show some time ago a couple formed by a Romanian woman of 38 and Egyptian man of same age I think and they were both in advertising I think. There are some in professions too I suppose.

Not at all, I was only asking out of curiosity. Here, in some professions foreigners and ethnic minorities are over-represented, especially medicine.

Yes, there are some Arab and Indian doctors even in the hospitals of Romania, including where I live. Now that I think better they do have a certain presence in the professions. Many of them studied in Romania before they were doctors or in other professions.

Did they study in Romanian or English? How common are foreign students in Romania more generally? Around a quarter of university students in the UK now come from overseas, and they are a major source behind the massive increase in immigration, especially because their fees are much higher and thus they stop some universities from becoming literally bankrupt.
