I would honestly encourage anyone, even if you only have some little doubts, to read at least the book. I think there is some kind of movies as well (i haven't seen it). Beyond the scientific implications it's the greatest manifestation of a genius mind at work. Some other discoveries are interesting and impressive as well but less accessible to the general public. This had initially so much to do with a path of doubts and intuitions in a field work more so than it is usual in science, putting to the test something that was at the time completely insane. Except it's no more a theory despite the historical label, it's not just a best guess we have for now, it's been constantly daily proven, you can even witness it almost in real time in micro organisms.
