In this case, it only matches with my brother and is noticeably further from my father, so by the time we find our ideal genetic match, I hope my father ends up being the one slightly closer.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

I'm going to make a thread about my Y-lineage too. It also includes a close match to a Punic sample.
Deeper in my family line, I'm wondering if I have some undocumented Italian or Southern Italian ancestry.

My paternal ancestry comes from Belgium. I didn't list Belgium because broadly speaking Belgians are pretty close to French genetically. My 4th great grandfather came to the U.S. from Houwaart, Belgium in the 1870s. I had some relatives after WWII go to Belgium for some genealogical research. They took some pictures of the town and went grave searching. My relatives spoke with a Flemish priest. The priest believed my name to be French in origin.

^ This is free.
This is just a little teaser:
I did my Y-Dna test on familytreedna.com
If there is free way to use Y-full and search for my terminal SNP you can link it.

Nothing to do with these individuals autosomally.
