Perhaps there are just some orientalid influences but not "gypsy" and "north african". Greek music is native.

It is acctually not Middle Eastern melody. (altough greatly influenced by it) Anyway, you kept insisting on "Serbian element" of this discussion just to get reaction.

Real folk Bulgarian music doesn't have Turkish or gypsy influence. Neither does Greek. Greek music sound similar to Oriental music because of cultural exchange in the antiquity.

More misguided rubbish. Ancient Greek music, just like medieval and modern Greek music, always interacted with wider musical traditions that lapped up on its shore - especially traditions from the east.

That is still not the same as some of modern Greek and Balkan music that sounds straight out of Turkey.

Turbo folk doesn't sound like Turkish music. It sounds like gypsy music.
