Positive Opinion of the French-Fostering Thread

I forgot to mention Marc Chagall and his paintings of roosters.

They gave me this wonder of hope, mystery, and a sense of strength of devotion. Many of my school essays for English centered on writing about this.

I'd tend to agree, but there's a reason why I'm not a democrat. Historical circumstances decide of what government is in place, not the people. The latter at the very best endorses such circumstances.


Vichy never rested solely on a few leaders, nor does any regime. There are networks at play. Plus to put an end to it the Germans would have had to been eliminated.
The power's in the hands of whoever controls the land.
I'm not giving excuses though, I think a poor display or resolve was made at the time. But I find it hard to receive judgement from people who haven't experienced similar conditions.

He is. I am more talking about his paintings inspired from his time living in Paris.

French people are a bit like proud roosters :3. I like Chagall's depictions of roosters.

The ones I have met personally I did not really like, sorry. I have friends from most countries, race and religion, but not France...IDK why they just seem very reserved and not friendly.

The culture, hsitory, cuisine, language, I admire very much, of course...
