I'm yet to see a single argument against disciplining your woman. All the nonsense of a kind 'violence = hate' is nothing but a pathetic mangina's attempt to justify their lack of balls when dealing with a woman.

If speaking of developmental psychology, the normal process is that children are disciplined to understand the boundaries of acceptable behaviour in a given society/culture, but on reaching maturity (adulthood) discipline from external sources is no longer needed, self-discipline takes its place.
Anything that diverts from this normal development is psychologically pathological.
In any case, Mary has contradicted herself several times, while at times citing "discipline for the good of the woman", in the next breathe she's admitting that her husband treats her "bad" and relieves his frustrations and inability to deal with his own emotions in a constructive (civilised) manner by lashing out at her with physical violence. Neither of these things are conducive to discipline.

1) That's not discipline, that's conditioning. Discipline is voluntary, conditioning is imposed. Conditioning is retarded because it just fucks people up for life. Usually the conditioning can't even be done right, there's your source for a lot of mental issues.
2) It doesn't have anything to do with bad. You just do what you've got to do. And if you fail you have to get punished. This is not a conditioned response, this is an internalized norm.
Why would you choose to internalize a norm that you should obey your man instead of that you should be a bitch? Because you look up to your man and you choose to obey him and give him power over you.

You're getting things mixed up, Mary. Disciplinary measures can be taken to condition a child (or other methods can be used). Conditioning is not an end in itself, that is, it needs a method. The two concepts are not mutually exclusive. And discipline by definition is not voluntary (unless we speak of self-discipline).
Then why did you speak of your husband treating you "bad"?Originally Posted by Mary
