Not white enough to be white, but not ethnic enough to be ethnic?

Anyone else also have this happen to them? Maybe white passing Ashkenazi Jews or white passing MENAS and mestizos/castizos? In my experience, I get this when conversing with African-Americans a lot. When I say something that some of black friends don't like, they say I'm blinded and white, but other times some of them will tell me how beautiful "my culture" and "my people are," and that I must stand together with other "people of color brethern" against white supremacy.

This is the case with many other people too. When I say something they don't like, I'm just an ignorant white dude, but other times I'm an oppressed independent black woman of color.

I think it's normal for an African American to view you as white (and to view Askhenazi Jews as white too off course). You should tell them that you don't identify as such. (I don't either btw)

I would say to those who use the term 'people of color' that they should reject the concept and that they should reject political correctness too. It ends up being offensive to them and to 'people of logic'. (No one should be obliged to use terms like African-American, Native American etc either)

You should tell them that you don't support 'white supremacy' but you are not willing to participate in a movement against 'white supremacy' or even worse a movement against 'whites'.

Well what's the issue then? Do you want to feel completely white? Just never mention you're Afghan...change your first and last name to Todd Thompson or something..get a nose job just to be on the safe side, and you'd be good to go. Inversely, if you want to revoke the little 'white privelege' you do already have, follow this Pashtun sheikh's example and grow a sunnah beard if you can, and wear a koofi + shalwar qameez and retain your Pashtun name. This is simpler than the dilemma you're trying to make it out to be.

She wasn't exactly an afrocentrist, but close to one. She was all about that claiming the ancient egyptians were black life. She didn't hate white people though.

I think ancient egyptians were black but a different kind of black then west africans, I think they were like horners or something similar.

You see Egyptian, Nubian, Canaanite and one other (one with red beard from the north I dont know which people). The Egyptian looks inbetween SSA and Middle Eastern.

Make up your mind first, if you identify as white or as POC. And then defend your position and act accordingly. If you are strongly enough support it people will accept it.

People know I am not white and do not identify as white but as a minority regardless of my European phenotype, I don't have those problems, unless its people who do not know my background and just assume im some white boy

I went to school with a brown kid of partial indian descent and he was basically just seen as white. I never heard him go on about stuff like this.

Maybe he didn't feel inclined to reject his white identity because he is partially white?
