the ones with less mong are the ones in east and northeast turkey
lol this has been explained so often here by several members including myself . dont know why people dont save it in their heads

I would say Turkey, the ones I meet in the Netherlands look like many Mexicans, that was the first time I even encountered Turkish people, their phenotype vary a lot though (some look pretty darn European while others more stereotypical Middle Eastern, others your stereotypical Turkish while others more on the Mongoloid side). My Turkish ex looked European, but many of her family members looked like any other Mexican harnizo/castizo, some even looked mestizo. When she first came to California to visit me with her cousins, she even told me that many Mexicans here looked Turkish, she had never really encountered Mexicans, the only Mexicans she knew were the ones from telenovelas, we also went to Mexico and she said the same thing. She was pretty surprise to see some similarities between two nations that have nothing to do with one another.
I had the same encounter with North Africans, I thought the females had a better time passing for Mexican than the men

What is interesting is when Latinos and Arabs look similar, people often link it to the shared history between the Iberian Peninsula and the Arab world, as if it is only natural some of them could look alike, but the phenotypical similarities are more coincidental than anything else.

I don't know. I think it is just a coincidence.
I have long stated that more Sicilians look like castizo range Mexicans to me than actually Iberian, despite both being "Southern European." Among Greeks I have seen both -- people who look Iberian, and people who can pass as mixed Latinos.
