Look Teucer, I know that you might be a bit biased and that is understandable. I myself have biases too but leaving that aside there seems to be an obvious genetic affinity between Italy and Cyprus. That is my conclusion.

Are you sure that conclusion is not more informed by your biases than evidence? If not, then you will try to find more evidence to prove yourself wrong to make sure you are in fact correct.
Cyprus definitely has an affinity toward Calabria, which is documented in the paper I shared, but whether that is a result of direct influence from Italy itself or more indirectly through other people is questionable. I have read of no mass migration of Calabrians to Cyprus.
