I thought it was cowardly. If it wasn't impeachable, she should have voted against impeachment. There are other ways of expressing disapproval. She obviously didn't want to scare away either Democrats or so-called centrists, since she'll need both to have a chance at winning the nomination.

I think her thought process was that voting against impeachment would imply that what the president did was okay.... she had introduced a censure motion to condemn the president's actions, short of impeachment.... In this case, Voting "present" implies that the president's actions are wrong, but not impeachable.....

I expect more precision from a lawmaker. It's not about implications; it's about what you're actually voting on. She was voting on an article of impeachment, so it was either impeachable or it wasn't.

I wanna advice you all the consequences about China being the first economy in the world, since who dominates the world economically also dominates the world culturally.

We individuals from irrelevant countries culturally speaking are condenated to consume chinese products (it is already happening with Xiaomi, Tencent, Alibaba etc)

The beauty standard will change from blue-eyed blonde woman to pale asian chicks (it is already happening, just check how korean kpop singers are getting so many fanbase all around the world)

The market's music will change (it is posivite tho, but unfortunately for J-pop, K-pop, C-pop)

When a sitting president is impeached, his influence over policies is not minimized in any legal way..... Impeachment is just one step in the process to remove the president - it has no effects on his exercise of authority, until and unless he gets removed from office by the Senate....

I don't believe the Congress is bound by double jeopardy laws in the case of impeachment and removal....... Impeachment is not a criminal case, it is simply a mechanism to remove someone from office, so I doubt such protections would apply in this case...... It would be very bad form, but I see no reason why they couldn't just introduce the same articles of impeachment for the same "crimes" again if they so pleased......
