Your lies do not help you here, I clearly abstained from any insults, I do not lower myself to, like your standards or those of other basement dwellers/skinheads with a keyboard, but posted signs of a worsening situation with a reminder to turn the tide. If you were a nationalist, you would have understood that - but instead of that you continued your low-level trolling. Each time you made it very easy for me to debunk you as the hypocrite you are, no word of criticizm ever came over your lips about the oh so sovereign Norway bombing civilians in Libya, but at least you have your flag to wave. A small mind is satisfied with small things...
In other words, nazi barbarism under the cloak of democracy, very original, the slain men, drowned children, raped woman, maimed elderly, bombed civilians and aborted fetuses clearly appreciate the difference, at least they have not been killed by an evil German.Originally Posted by Tel Errant

The problem I see with civic nationalism is something you mentioned: loyalty is towards the state and only towards the state. If a European civic nationalist is to accept an African, Asian, or what not as a fellow countryman because they have a passport, it would be and indirect insult to his real ethnic countrymen because it undermines the ethnic foundations that said European state was built on.
States such as France, Germany, Russia, Spain, and the United Kingdom of GB were not built by Africans, Asians, nor aboriginal New Worlders.

None of those really fit me because I don't identify as a nationalist. To be honest, one reason I don't is because nationalist politics is often a bad joke. I am all for cutting back immigration, a homogeneous ethnic population, and becoming more economically autarkic (even if it slows down our economic growth) though. I just don't think the nation should be at the forefront of people's lives, it should be in the background, I find state-worshipping fascist-types tasteless.

Ethno-Nationalist with clear Pan-European tendencies.
"Civic Nationalism" = Patriotism = uninteresting, uncritical, makes no sense.
I would never fight for a country, but only a people, values and ideals, a better society. If the state stands for that, I fight for this state, if not...

That Civic Nationalism is but patriotism is the love for one's own blood and soil which is abused by politicians and ideologues, not blind allegiance to a nation-state or, actually, any particular political idea."Civic Nationalism" = Patriotism = uninteresting, uncritical, makes no sense.

My vision is of cooperation between all European ethnic groups. I would love that would end the historic rivalries and all turn their attention to preserving their cultures and backgrounds, which is the common goal.
And I have a strong patriotic connection with France, Italy and Austria and can not get the same for Germany, which also have origin.
Lately I've been increasingly disappointed with the way Germany and the Germans act. To tell the truth, not only today
