Yea I think also, people need to realize that people with issues especially those with emotional issues can often be manipulative and endearing. I think that it also depends on who you surround yourself with and how you present yourself. Nicer people don't have it worse they just attract people who want to victimize others.
Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.
Even if this were hard--that is how it is ! Assuredly, however, by far the harder fate is that which strikes the man who thinks he can overcome Nature, but in the last analysis only mocks her. Distress, misfortune, and diseases are her answer.

story of my life.
i’m only just now realizing that it’s okay to not make excuses for someone to treat you badly. i know that sounds like common sense, but i’ve spent most of my life with people metaphorically punching me in the face and teaching me that trying to set boundaries or take actions to prevent them from doing that repeatedly made me an evil bitch.
no, it doesn’t. i’m human and i don’t want that to be my life.

It's a human animal trait to hate weakness.
I also dislike emotionally volatile people and I'm a guy.... I'm supposed to find it endearing in the opposite sex but I don't.
Humans just don't like weakness of any kind.
I think it goes back to caveman days where survival was important and nothing was more repulsive than weakness.

there’s a clear difference to me between falling down and getting back up vs falling down and victimizing yourself non-stop and making everyone else’s life a living hell bc i fell down some time ago.
a person who cannot grow to understand this difference... i realize i have to stop feeling pity for them, though i wonder how ego based this idea really is.

Very well put. Sadly the older people get the more baggage people will carry with them and the deeper they'll identify with their past "trauma". I put trauma in quotation marks because:
If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.

This "fake insecurities" test is a good idea. I will try it out in the future.
