Persians are not white, never met one that I'd take for a white person. They are lighter skinned than South Asians but they still don't look white.

There are Iranians who can look pretty white IMHO. I knew a Kurdish woman from Iran with light brown hair, pale skin and and freckles.

Some are 100% white and some are 100% brown. Its a diverse area. There are Afro Iranians as well as Nordic Iranians.

White is a political term to describe Europeans and European descendants so not a single Iranian is white regardless of pigmentation, taxonomy etc

Most Iranians I've met abroad could not pass for white. They are light brown to olive skinned, and have very ethnic features. I think Turks and some Arabs are white, but Persians/Afghans are clearly not.

Wtf does Persians and iran have to do with Afghans tf? Iran and Iranians are a west Asian/Middle Eastern group they’re very close to Europe and Europeans genetically like other Middle Easterners and west Asians and Caucasus people. Just like French people aren’t Northern European but they’re still south Central European still Europeans. Iranians aren’t white/European but they’re the same damn race as Europeans and very close genetically the whole Middle East west Asia and the Caucasus is as well
