Sure. Many posters (whom I will not name) discussed this issue very openly and honestly. Most of them are pleasant and fine users. There are numerous threads to search.

One male poster even openly talked about how his anxiety prevents him from finding a partner.
He has never been with a woman and is approaching his thirties, and feels very lonely.

Few top posters even mentioned having suicidal thoughts in the past, and one mentioned he was temporarily hospitalised due to depression. All nice and decent users.

Many, both older and younger, suffer from insomnia (some have even written about it) and are neurotic; some male users are having an obvious problem with an alcohol...

Loneliness, personal issues and boredom can bring to severe internet addiction, and that is the biggest problem that often triggers more frustrations, anxiety and depression.
And depression is a serious thing, not something to joke around.

Depression and anxiety are indeed commonplace. And everyone at some point talks about dwelling this forum as if it was some sort of compulsion, an escape from reality and never an end in itself. I've seen a ton of members, myself included, say everyone around here is crazy, but never "I like being here and this interaction is a nice complement to my daily life".

No. Those with Asperger syndrome or high-functioning autism have an IQ within the range of normal to high, so basically 85 and above. It's not rarely associated/stereotyped with very high IQs, but not all are that high.

Funny that there is spoken of a "risk (?!) of not having many friends". Seriously, that must be from the life persective of some extravert and more shallow Anglo-Mediterranean societies like the USA. In Northern Germany it's unusual to an individual to have "many friends" and to my perception even more so in Sweden.

In Sweden, your friends tend to be the ones you've had since childhood or a long time ago. It is generally difficult to make new friends in adulthood. And since some stop having time for you when they start families etc, the number of friends will become smaller and smaller.

For the Philippines case makes sense, but In general many asians women see as upgrading their status by mixing with Europeans and not just any European like a woggy med but they tend to go for the Anglo/Germanic types.

For filipinos its less about aesthetic and more about how white foreigners are seen as financialy attractive. Especially of your a white american, its seen as a way out of the Philippines.
