Sometimes things have to die in order to be reborn. However i think all the woke stuff (i put this in there too, yes) will be the downfall of the left.

The left is actually highly split on this. There is a significant radfem movement, such as Julie Bindel and (latterly) Germaine Greer, which opposes gender ideology, the normalisation of paedophilia, and to some extent pornography and prostitution.

This law, and others of the woke agenda, are being approved by all the left (despite some internal dissonances here and there) but also by the so called liberal right with the support from the MSM and big companies.

Here in the UK, there was a much-loved TV presenter called Jimmy Savile who turned out to be a serial paedophile. As it happens, my sister met him as a child, and my Mum has told me she found him fishy and weird even then, so unlike lots of other mothers she always watched my sister while she was with him.

I watched a documentary on Jimmy Savile and it reinforced my belief there is something wrong with Brits. Here in the US, someone with Savile' personality (clownish, really) wouldn't have risen to fame.

The British taste for eccentricity is ironically seen by many people here as something in which the British are more tolerant and even morally superior about, when compared to e.g. Americans, French or Germans.

Yes, but "law enforcement" is exactly there to enforce the law. Laws change and we are transioning into a grey zone regarding these matters until we reach the point of complete moral relativism.
