Oh wait i think i realised. I basically meant that if the North Sea component and Lactose Tolerance overlap like that, that this entire area may have been subject to particular farming practices in common - If those practices resulted in a higher lactose tolerance for whatever reason among those populations (i don't know enough about farming to say any more). It's probably just purely coincidental, but interesting.

The amount is probably around 20% for the population average made by him. Biggest difference compared to "southwest_finnish" is usually the higher amount of "north_sea" or "med" admixture in north Swedes (depending on what calc) and the higher amount of Baltic admixture in southwest_Finns.
Here are my Oracle results from this newest Eurogenes calculator. I find it interesting that North_Swedish tends to show up pretty consistently. I am 25% Italian, 25% Finnish and 50% Irish/British by known ancestry. I think that both my Finnish and Irish/British ancestry are probably responsible for the North_Swedish presence in my Oracle results.Quote:
