To be honest, no doubt that is a Cypriotic Turk, but i don’t think that those results represent all. It is well documented that many Yörüks from Taurus mountains were deported to Cyprus? So idk whether they reached the island, died or leaved it before they left any traces. This person has no Turkic input, just native Cypriot.

Yes although it is possible that they have a recent non-Turkish ancestor judging by the SSA. Also some calculators give them 1-2 Mongoloid so its not completely native either.

Yes the high African is noticeable, but it seems many have it from this island. They are literally a mix of Anatolians and Levantines + minor Greek/Turkish/African. But it is just curious that Turks there don’t show appreciable Turkic genetic influence. Turks who were settled outside of Anatolia nearly everytime left remarkable Turkic influence, even Palestine Turkmens(although to be honest i just saw one result) show Turkic traces and that is really something special.

According to this, you most likely have 1/8 Balkan Turkish ancestry. I also noticed in other calculators. You had Bulgarian etc... especially on K13.

Could be. I have possible distant relatives on 23andme from Bulgaria and Balkan area. Fifth cousin etc.. some Polish as well. Does not make sense when I compare the percentages but it appears on the list. I actually had Balkan 1-2% on the first 23andme version and it is now NorthWestern/Scandinavian + minor Broadly Euro. I am wondering how it will appear on 5.9 version... I have slightly higher Euro percentages compare to Eastern Anatolian (still lower than Western Turks), that is why it pulls me and model as minor European, I think...

I don't unerstand why even Baloch from Southeast Iran have such high levels of SSA admixture. It was expectable in Balochis from South Iran/Hormozgan.
But even Balochis from Balochistan have it.

Edit: actually he clusters closer with Iran_Bandari than Balochi, which shows he doesn't seem to be typical for a Baloch from the Balochistan province. Likely a little Makrani mixed.

Relatives are always more important than admixture breakdowns of companies, as you know they always tend to update their results to reach better one. I don't expect better breakdowns on v5.9 as well. That makes sense but as I mentioned if you have some relatives from Bulgaria that can be an indicator for a Balkan Turkish ancestry up to 1/8.
