the truth is Celts, Germanics and West Slavs do cluster more together, broadly speaking, if you look on any PCA plot and compare the distances between you guys to the distances you see elsewhere (southern Europe, West Asia, out of Europe...). NW Europeans are rather similar than different

That EURASIAN-STEPPE is the real deal
some considerations and more R modelling:
Yamnaya developed from Khvalynsk (southern Russia) and Sredny Stog (eastern Ukraine).
Sredny Stog are the people that domesticated the horse. Yamnaya was transmitted this, so they were among first populations to be able to cover larger distances shorter.
Khvalynsk was much more EHG (Eastern Hunter Gatherer) than Sredny Stog (the latter had contacts with neighbour farmer culture of Tripolie):

thanks for posting this. I learn a lot from such tables. indeed it's much easier now to play around on vahaduo, we can test models faster, improve them faster, try on more models in less time, which will make us come up with better models in the end. I will try and do some new models I was thinking about, re Yamnaya and that period.

which one is G25? and how do I get it on Gedmatch
there's something strange about the Romanian and the Moldavian average used for these G25 coords - the Romanian one is very northern-shifted compared to the results of the Romanians I see online (except for some northeast Romanians (Moldovans).
then, as I've said before, the Moldavian average is totally off - it comes more southwestern-shifted than the Romanian average, which is again against anything I saw online on this, including Eurogenes oracles and individual results of any Rep. of Moldova Romanian/Moldovan ethnic.
so I suspect some sampling bias.
however, entire regions of Romania are naturally "above" these results (Moldova, Bucovina, Maramures), so with better sampling it wouldn't be a surprise to see the average is really as northern-shifted as that. but then for Moldova it most definitely isn't the one now in use with Global25.
